Steven Clites, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, beloved husband and best friend of R.M. Christine Clites for 38 years, passed away on his way home to be with the ones he laughed with, lived for, and loved, on December 21, 2014. He was predeceased by his father, Floyd Clites. Steven was born in Omaha, Nebraska on September 4, 1954. He spent the majority of his life honoring his family and country in the U.S. Air Force where he rose to the rank of TSGT as a flight engineer. He served in Vietnam, Desert Storm, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. At the time of his passing, Steve worked for Walmart as a Loss and Prevention Officer where he was loved and well known as a kind and helpful man. Besides his beloved wife Christine, Steve is survived by his mother, Dora Clites; sisters, Kathy and Vicki; three children, Brian Owen, Melody Malat, and Jeromy Clites; his grandchildren, Evan, Lexus, Christian Malat, and Taylor Clites; his great-grandchild Nevaeh Malat; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the friends who have shown their love and fond memories. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him. A memorial viewing will be held honoring Steven from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, January 6 at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 W. Main, Jacksonville, Ark. 72076. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 7 at Arkansas Funeral Care. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
