John William "Jack" Kemp, 82 of Paragould, died Friday, Jan. 31, 2014 at his home. Mr. Kemp was born on April 16, 1931 in Stadra, Ark., he was a Korean War Veteran, a member of East Side Baptist Church. He was a former deacon at Mt. Home, Ark., a retired pharmacist, he loved fishing and playing golf and was an avid reader. Survivors include: his son, Dr. Clarence Leonard (Denise) Kemp of Paragould; daughters, Deborah Jean (Terry) Hardison of Sherwood, Ark., Rebecca Sue (Dr. Bill) Warren of Little Rock, Ark.; grandchildren, Kyle (Kelli) Hardison of Sherwood, Sarah Hardison of Arlington, Tenn., Justin (Emerald) Kemp of Paragould, Jenna Warren of Jacksonville, Ark., Sid Warren of Sherwood, Laura Warren of Little Rock; great grandchildren, Denver Hardison McElreath of North Little Rock, Ark., Pearl Evette Kemp of Paragould; brothers-in-law, Leonard (Harriet) Kerr of Texarkana, Texas, Dr. Robert, (Mary Anne) Kerr of Little Rock; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by, his wife of 57 years, Jean Elizabeth Kerr Kemp; his parents, Clarence and Johnie Robert Florence Troy Kemp; one brother, Clarence Robert (Betty) Kemp; and a grand daughter, Allison Marie Kemp. There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 at the Oakland Cemetery in Clarksville, Ark. with Bro. Dennis Scudder officiating.
