Mrs. Mary Lorene Jordan, age 92, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Colonial Assisted Living Lodge in Texarkana, Texas. She was born June 24, 1921, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to George Thomas and Lela Irene Canter Trout. Mrs. Jordan was a Baptist, and a banker at Citizens National Bank for over 40 years of service, retiring at the age of 80 and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. She loved her family, and the outdoors. Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her parents and great-grandson Miller NcNeil Woodruff. Mrs. Jordan is survived by her son, Buddy Jordan and wife Peggy, of Hope, Arkansas, daughters, Betty Dumas and husband Bill, of Texarkana, Texas, Melissa Silvey and husband John of Texarkana, Arkansas, sister, Vonceil Yocum of Hope, grandchildren, Stacee Withem and husband Tom, Kelly Nutt and husband John, Lindsey Whatley and husband Roy, Brooke Edwards and husband Darren, Meredith Woodruff and husband Patrick, and 11 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff and friends of Colonial Assisted Living Lodge and Hospice of Texarkana.
