Dorsey Hamilton

Dorsey Hamilton, 89 of Jacksonville, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Dorsey was born May 11, 1925 in Hope, Ark. to the late Garrett and Lela (Hubbard) Hamilton. He is also preceded in death by brothers Burlin Hamilton of Russellville and Dewey Hamilton of Texarkana, Texas. Dorsey was a WWII and Korean War veteran, retiring from the Air Force in 1964. He started Hamilton Refrigeration that same year. Hamilton Refrigeration served Jacksonville for 23 years until his retirement in 1987. He had a Bachelor of Arts degree from Park College. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and will be greatly missed. Mr. Hamilton is survived by his wife, Edith (Yearian) Hamilton; children Dorsey Hamilton of Arizona, Reginald Hamilton and wife Shirley of Sherwood, Larry Hamilton of Manhattan, Kansas, Tina Newman and husband Steve of Mt. Vernon, Tara Estes and husband David of Jacksonville, and Scooter Faulkner of Irving, Texas; sister, Louise Wormington of California; 16 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
