Bobby Dean Griggs

Bobby Dean Griggs, 83, of Mayflower, passed away July 9, 2014. He was born April 12, 1931 in Scotland, Ark., to the late Luther Smith and Alvy Ann Watts Griggs. He served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict and spent forty years as manager of the Construction department for Arkansas Electric. He was a Methodist and a Democrat. Bobby is survived by his wife, Martha, of the home, children Terri and (Brian) of Little Rock, Deana McNeil and (Steve McArthur) of Greenbrier, Vicki and David Johnson of Sherwood, Bobby L. Griggs of Siloam Springs, Tommie Carter and Eddie of Mayflower, Connie Morgan of Little Rock, Martin Morgan of Mayflower and Cynthia Graves of Eureka, Mo. He is also survived by siblings, Peggy Massy and Kent Griggs of Leslie and Sarah Crow of Clinton. Bobby is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Almeta Keeling and brother Tommy Griggs and first wife Jean Parks Griggs. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Clinton Funeral Service Chapel with Brother Billy Crow officiating with visitation from 12 noon to 2 p.m. before the service.
