Mary Anne Tomlin, 83, of Little Rock, Ark. was received into the loving arms of Jesus on July 22, 2014. She was born March 23, 1931 to the late William and Helen Schmidt in Fort Smith, AR. She received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She retired from the State of Arkansas as a Social Worker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Tomlin. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Self and brothers, John (Buddy) Schmidt and William Schmidt. She is survived by her very special niece, Laura Franklin and special friends, Madge Helm and Judy Whitson. She is also survived by seven more nieces and four nephews as well as great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She is also survived by a step-daughter, Janet Tomlin, four step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. Visitation and Rosary will be Friday, August 1, 2014, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Holy Souls Catholic Church, 1003 North Tyler Street, Little Rock. A Funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 2, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Holy Souls Catholic Church, followed by the Burial at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Ark. Memorial gifts and donations can be made to World Services for the Blind - Senior Program, the Huntington's Disease Society of America, the Pulaski County Humane Society, or Holy Souls Catholic Church.
