David Paul Neal

David Paul Neal, 68, of West Memphis, Ark. passed away June 4, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D.C. Neal; and his son, Brit Neal. He was a Senior Vice President Loan Officer for Bank of West Memphis for 30 years and Fidelity National Bank for 12 years. He was a Paul Harris Fellow for Rotary Club, served on the Board of Directors for the Meadowbrook Country Club, a member and former treasurer-secretary of the West Memphis Chamber of Commerce, member of the Crittenden County Realtors, the Memphis Life Underwriters, served on the Board of Directors for the West Memphis Boys Club, Chairman of the 100 Club, member of the Arkansas Bankers Association, a director of the Mid-South Chapter of the Bank Administration Institute Board, member of the Arkansas Bankers Association, board member of Steudelin Learning Center, and a member of the First United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee. Neal was a graduate of the 1964 class at West Memphis High School, attended Arkansas State University, graduated from the University Of Memphis Mid-South School Of Banking and graduated from the University of Oklahoma Commercial Lending School. He is survived by his wife, Liz Neal of 45 years; a son, Charles Craig Neal (Jessica) of Collierville, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Cole Neal and Tate Neal; two sisters, Cheryl Norton (Raymond) of Wellston, Ohio, and Mary Catherine Propes (Thomas) of Heber Springs, Ark.; two brothers, Romey Spires and Marion Spires both of Wellston, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, West Clinic, East Ark Enterprises, or to the American Heart Association. Visitation will be on Saturday, from 5-7 p.m. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home. Services will be on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home.
