Charles W McCollum

Charles W. McCollum 66, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on Monday June 09, 2014 at a local hospital. Charles was born to the late Robert and Alice McCollum in Stilwell, Oklahoma on April 22, 1948. Charles is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda McCollum, sons, Charles Jr. and Russell McCollum, sister, Karen McCollum and brother, Louis McCollum also one granddaughter, Lily McCollum. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bobby McCollum. Charles was a very outgoing man that loved to be outdoors, he fished as much as possible and when he was not fishing, he was at the bowling alley with his family and friends. Charles served our country for 20 plus years proudly in the Army and retired as a Staff Sergeant and went on to work for different jobs including Wal-Mart in Sherwood to keep himself busy. Charles loved his family and his country and will be greatly missed by all he loved and respected him. The McCollum family will be receiving guest on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., NLR, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home Chapel, Friday, June 13, 2014 at 2 p.m. with Bro.
