Steve Cimino

Steve Cimino, age 81, of Bismarck, passed from this life on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Woodland Hills Care Center in Jacksonville. He was born on Dec. 13, 1932 in Palermo, Sicily, the son of the late Salvator and Rosa Cimino. Steve served in the United States Navy during the Korean War and owned several businesses in Chicago, Ill. He later moved to Bismarck where he retired from the Army Corps of Engineers. Steve was a member of DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, cooking and gardening. Steve loved spending time with family and especially seeing his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elfrieda Cimino; and two brothers, Albert and Joe Cimino. Steve is survived by four sons, Steve Cimino Jr. of Hot Springs, Joseph Cimino of Benton, Anthony Cimino (Elizabeth) of Jacksonville and "Albert" Liborio Cimino (Brandy) of Benton; one brother, Frank Cimino (Mary Lou) of Chicago; one sister, Angie Ventimiglia (Matt) of Clearwater, Fla.; four grandchildren, Hagen, Sophia, Kestyn and Kamden Cimino; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Morrison officiating. Interment with military honors will be in DeRoche Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Memorials may be made to DeRoche Missionary Baptist Church, 939 Hwy 128, Bismarck, Ark. 71929. Final arrangements are entrusted to The Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
