Hazel E. Lane, 88, of Benton, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014. She was born October 18, 1925 in Hazen, Arkansas to the late Clarence Henry and Gertie Lee Wallace Hudson. Hazel worked at the Gingles Dept. Store in Benton for over 40 years, was a member of the B @ P W Club for over 40 years, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Lane; daughter, Vicky Lane; brother, Troy Hudson and sister, Nadene Harmon. Survivors, daughters, Jeanne Cole of Little Rock, Sharon Andrews (Jerry) of Benton, Jan Leach (Phillip) of Benton; sister, Emma Jean Scott of Benton; six grandchildren, Sherry Robinson (Bobby), Lisa Townsend (Randy), Alyson Hass (Darren), Bryson Spivey, Nikki Spivey (Tom Johnson) and Ashton Leach; seven great-grandchildren, Keeley Culver (Lance), Kyleigh Robinson, Heather Thornberry (Eric), Bailey Allen, Cruz Oseguera, Macy Hass and Kellen Johnson and two great-great-grandchildren, Brody Thornberry and Delilah Culver, several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Bryson Spivey, Bailey Allen, Cruz Oseguera, Randy Townsend, Bobby Robinson, Darren Hass, Lance Culver and Tom Johnson. Graveside services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 10 a.m. Thursday at New Rosemont Cemetery with Pastor Brock Patterson officiating. Visitation will be at Ashby's, Wednesday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The family would like to thank Central Arkansas Hospice for all their kindness.
