William Green

William Henry Green, 78, of Lonoke passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014. He was born to the late Elbert N. and Zady M. Wright-Green in Pulaski County. He was a member of Brownsville Baptist Church of Lonoke, owner of Green's Body Shop for 10 years and retired from Columbia Insurance Company. He served in the US Navy serving on the USS Oriskany CVA 34 and served in the Naval reserve. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Bernice Pharris Swaim Green; sons, William B. "Barry" Green (Laurie), of Wooster, Sam Swaim (Geneen) of Pearcy and Robert Swaim (Mary) of Lonoke; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Green-Arnold (Mel) of Corning and Peggy Sue Green-Hickman of Sherwood; eighteen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Waymack and Helen Evans; and a host of loving nephews, nieces and church friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Green, Trula Goins and Faye Evans and brothers, Luther and Otis Green, special nephew Carroll Roe. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park.
