Joe Wayne Cain

Joe Wayne Cain, 91, of Benton died Sunday, March 23, 2014. He was born May 6, 1922 in Centerville to the late Mac Monroe Cain and Cora Bryson Cain. Mr. Cain served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1941 to 1945, during World War II. He later worked for the Pulaski County School District as a painter and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cain was preceded in death by his first wife, Amelia Roth Cain and his second wife, Lucille Cain; two daughters, Donnie Porter and Linda Cain and nine siblings. Mr. Cain is survived by three children, Elaine Cofer of Benton, Ron Cain of Austin, Texas and Wanda Lafferty of Jacksonville, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Griffin Leggett Forrest Hills Funeral Home in Alexander with graveside services beginning at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Forrest Hills Memorial Park.
