Alvin A Krum

DR. ALVIN A. KRUM, 85, of Maumelle, Ark. passed away Friday, May 9, 2014. He was born May 14, 1928, in Fresno, Calif., to the late Andrew and Margaret (Walters) Krum. Dr. Krum served in the U.S. Army Chemical Corps during the Korean conflict, and received a Ph.D in Physiology from the University of California at Berkeley. He and his family moved to Little Rock in 1962, and he taught at the University of Arkansas School of Medicine for 30 years while publishing original medical research. He was extremely proud of and dedicated to his family, and deeply loved, honored and cherished by all his loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Glenda; his son, Jeffery Krum (Kimberly) of Kansas City, Mo.; daughter, Judith Krum of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Eugene Krum (Nancy) of Fresno, Calif.; grandchildren, Lauren, Melinda and Jordan; step-children, Hollye Hahn (Mark) of Oak Harbor, Wash., Michael Lipke of San Diego, Calif., and Tammy Lipke of Denton, Texas; grandchildren, Natalie, Nina, Stuart and Samuel; and a host of extended family and friends.
