Mark Allen Rodgers, 28 of Rose Bud, died Sunday, May 11, 2014. Mark was born May 8, 1986 in Searcy. Mark served in the US Army in the 82nd Airborne Paratroopers, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a graduate of Universal Technical Institute, and was a diesel mechanic for Arkansas Kenworth, Inc. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. Mark was full of life and an inspiration to all those around him. Mark is survived by wife, Samantha Rodgers of Las Vegas, Nev.; children, McKenzie and Mark, Jr. of Las Vegas; mother, Judy Kinggard and husband Greg of Vilonia; father, Mark Rodgers and wife, Bonnie Evans of Romance; siblings, Brandy Rodgers and Brandon Rodgers; step-siblings Courtney, Drew, and Holly Kinggard and Nick, Cody, and Cameron Evans; grandparents, Barbara Benton and Richard Rodgers; and great-grandmother, Johnnie Rodgers, and great-grandmother, Betty Jones. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Arkansas Funeral Care, 2620 W. Main St., Jacksonville. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014 at Romance Church of Christ, with burial to follow at Romance Cemetery. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
