Betty G. Thalmann, 91 of North Little Rock, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014. She was born in Walnut Ridge, Ark to the late James and Martha Bellah Henderson. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; the love of her life, her husband, Charles A. Thalmann and five siblings. As a young woman she migrated from Walnut Ridge to North Little Rock and she met a man who told her the first time he saw her that she would become his wife. "You're crazy" she told him and that began their 62 years of marriage. That was four children, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren ago. Betty was a member of Levy Baptist Church for over 50 years. She worked in retail sales for numerous years. She enjoyed her family and was best known for and proud of her titles of mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and most of all a Christian. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Michael Thalmann, Janet Darling (Terry), Susan Reardon (Bill), Nancy Higginbotham (Michael); nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Gipson and Billie Gray; two brothers, Eugene Henderson (Daisy) and Joe Henderson and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Friday, May 23, 2014 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, Ark. 72116 (501-791-7400). Interment will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, May 22, at the funeral home.
