Jana Krone Carter

JANA KRONE CARTER, 71, of Maumelle, went to be with the Lord on May 23, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Erna and Kenneth Krone of Fort Smith. Jana attended Arkansas Tech University where she met the love of her life and husband of 53 years. Jana was also a devoted mother of two girls and loved to celebrate life to the fullest with her beloved family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Darrell W. Carter, formerly of Dardanelle; two daughters, Catherine Carter Thomas and Cherie Carter Richardson; her grandchildren, Carter Harrington, Jana Catherine Thomas, Cooper Thomas, and Grace Ivey; and her sister, Linda Raff, all of Little Rock. She was a devoted Christian and lived her life to give back to the youth as she enjoyed mentoring them during her years as a substitute teacher at Maumelle High School. She was an avid reader and golfer, who never met a stranger or lacked in conversation with all in her presence.
