Bobby Jack Chambers, age 81, of Crossett, Ark. passed away at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, Ark. He was born on December 27, 1932 in Crossett to his parents, Festus Enoch and Denver Doris Atkins Chambers. Mr. Chambers worked for the Crossett Company and Georgia-Pacific for 25 years and then owned Chambers Real Estate and Appraisal Company in Crossett, Ark. He was a member of the Lion's Club, Civitans, Gideons, Arkansas Nail Benders and had obtained the rank of Eagle Scout and was Boy Scout Leader for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Crossett, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rosemary Chambers; and his beloved dalmation, Lady. Survivors include two sons, David Chambers (D.J.) of Warren, Ark; Dan Chambers (Joan) of Little Rock, Ark.; one daughter, Debby Bonds of Little Rock, Ark.; one brother, Jim Chambers (Hope) of Arlington, Texas; five grandchildren, Kirby Bonds, Sr. of Hamburg, Ark., Jeff Chambers of Los Angeles, Calif., Kit Bonds of Little Rock, Ark., Kim Jensen (Steve) of Alamogordo, N.M., Rebecca Mills of Little Rock, Ark. and five great-grandchildren; one niece, Dawn Vilbig and one nephew, Mark Chambers. The family would like to express gratitude to the staff of the Hospice Home Care Facility for their exceptional care. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Crossett with Bro. Gary Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark. (www.jonesservice.com). Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
