Winnie Gail Hill, 74, of Benton died Wednesday, October 1, 2014. She was born May 16, 1940 in Odessa, Texas to the late Kenneth Elwood and Lillie Addie (Harmon) Franklin. Mrs. Hill taught history in the Benton Public School district for over 20 years, then taught in Alaska and eventually in the Bryant School District. She was a member of New Life Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Ken Hill, Paul Hill and Shannon (Lisa) Hill, all of Benton; six grandsons, Caleb Tolbert, Franklin Paul Hill, Josh Hill, Alex Hill, Ryan Hill and Bishop Hill; two sisters, Jean Foster of Benton and Bettie Ann Luper of Fayetteville; as well as other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 in the chapel of Roller-Ballard Funeral Home (315-4047) with Bro. Tony Reasons and Bro. Scotty Nalley officiating. Interment will follow in New Rosemont Memorial Park in Benton. Serving as pallbearers are Kevin Brown, Ronnie (Moon) Mullins, Tony Reasons, Will Paxton, William Reinhart and Beau Walker.
