Marilyn Gramlich Moore, beloved Mother and Grandmother, peacefully passed this life Sunday, October 5, 2014. She was born August 19, 1933, at Thompson's Clinic in Fort Smith. She was graduated from Saint Anne's Academy in 1950, attended courses at Fort Smith Junior College, earned her Real Estate license in 1960, her Broker's license in 1962, and eventually opened her own company, Marilyn Moore and Associates. Being a true advocate and lobbyist for Crime Victim's Rights, Marilyn was co-founder of Justice for Crime Victims. She attended trials with many crime victims' families and fought hard for legislation in their favor. Marilyn is survived by her three children, Terri Chaney (Don), Brent Moore (Deborah), and Shannon Fawcett (Chuck). Marilyn especially loved her grandchildren, Nikki Knoebel (Tim), Hank Fawcett, Aimee Edens (Brian), Rachel Russell (James), April Moore, Nathan Chaney (Hilary), Hunter Moore (Shauna), and Taylor Chaney; and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Carol Pate (Rick), and two brothers, Sonny Gramlich and Stephen Gramlich. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ginny. A Rosary will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. at Saint Boniface Catholic Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday October 8, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Saint Boniface Catholic Church all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home. Pallbearers are her grandsons, grandsons-in-law, great-grandson Cason Kennon and nephew John Gramlich. The family would like to thank the staff of Methodist Nursing Home for their care of Marilyn and tenderness with the family in the final stages of her life. We prayed for this day where she will once again be able to dance the jitterbug…free from the body that imprisoned her spirit…smiling and giggling and being her mischievous self. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Boniface Church 1820 North B Street Fort Smith, Ark. or the Bost Foundation, Inc. 1801 South 74th Street Fort Smith, Ark. 72903.
