Ruby G. Grimes, 87, of Mayflower died October 13, 2014, at her home. She was born November 15, 1926, to the late Joe and Alee Farmer. She is also preceded in death by her first baby, Jacqueline Bea Grimes; a brother, Joe Farmer; and two sisters, Ida Lee and Josephine Greer. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Shelby "Jack" Grimes; daughter, Barbara Goswick and husband John of Mayflower; son, Glenn Grimes and wife Charlotte of Little Rock; granddaughter, Jennifer Alexander and husband Tim of Fort Knox, Kentucky; grandson, Matt Goswick and wife Gina of Denver, Colorado; grandson, Aaron Grimes and wife Kala of Mayflower; great-granddaughters, Sadie Alexander, Madelyn Alexander, Layla Alexander, and Mackenzie Grimes; great-grandson, Sebastian Alexander; sisters, Rosalee Seligman of Little Rock and Millie Caldwell of Cabot. Mrs. Grimes was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Church at Willow Beach in North Little Rock. She was always active in church, serving many years as teacher and Vacation Bible School director. When her children were in grade school, she was always volunteering and served as PTA president. Visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. and the funeral will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014. Both will be at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Burial will be in Crestlawn Cemetery in Conway. Her pastor, Roy Tilley, will officiate at the service. Her nephew-in-law, James Wilson, will deliver the obituary and her former pastor, Thom South, will be in charge of the graveside service. Pallbearers will be Matt Goswick, Aaron Grimes, Jennifer Alexander, Tim Alexander, Sadie Alexander, and Madelyn Alexander.
