Lee Otis Duhart Sr.

Reverend Lee Otis Duhart Sr., 92, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 28, 2014 at the Veteran Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was born on Nov 14, 1921 in Little Rock, Ark. His parents, Joe Nathan Duhart and Cora Ballard Duhart and his son, Reverend Lee Otis Duhart, Jr. of Alabama preceded him in death. Rev. Duhart was an Associate Minister of St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church which he dearly loved, and was a faithful member for over 50 years. He served in the United States Army as a World War II Veteran from 1943-1946. Rev. Duhart was employed by the Little Rock School District and as a Civil Service Worker at Pine Bluff Arsenal. Left to cherish his memories are: his loving wife of over 30 years, Katie Duhart of Little Rock; four daughters, Rose N. Collier (Albert), JoAnn Wade-Alexander, Kareemah Duhart Muhammad-Rainey, all of Little Rock, Ark., and Edna Joyce Davis (John) of Fayetteville, N.C.; four sons, Frederick N. Duhart, Ellison J. McKenzie, Terry L. Jones, all of Little Rock, and Wesley C. Duhart (Bernice) of Conway, Ark.; one sister,Bobby Jean Martin of College Station; a godson, Chaplain Silas Redd; 100 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren;10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, 6-7 p.m. at Ruffin & Jarrett, 1200 Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72202. Services will be held Friday, Sept. 5 at 11 a.m., at St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church, 3518 West 7th Street, Little Rock, Ark. 72205. Burial will follow at Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Avenue, North Little Rock, Ark. 72120.
