Willie Gene Nimmer

Funeral Service for Mr. Willie Gene Nimmer, age 71, of Dermott, will be held at 12 noon Saturday, September 20, 2014. Service will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church, North Main & Lephew Road, Dermott, Ark.; Rev. Ricky Lattimore, Pastor, Rev. Terrance Steward, officiating minister. Mr. Nimmer was the son of the late Archie and Miller Nimmer. He attended school in the Dermott School District and graduated in 1962 from Chicot County High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967. During his latter years of employment before retirement, he worked several years as a police officer with the Dermott Police Department. Mr. Nimmer passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014, at the VA Hospital, Little Rock, Ark. He leaves as survivors, his wife, Debbie Nimmer of Dermott; five daughters, Carolyn Harris of Huntsville, Ala., Vicky Sanders of Monticello, Ark., Lisa Ivy(Glen) of Midland, Texas, Desirree Nimmer of Halton City, Texas, and Nikosha Nimmer of Pine Bluff, Ark.; one son, Terrance Steward of Dumas, Ark.; one brother, John T. Nimmer of Little Rock, Ark.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Family Hour will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2014, at First Baptist Church, North Freeman Street, Dermott, Ark. The family will be at the home at 700 West Speedway, Dermott. Burial will be in the VA Cemetery, North Little Rock, Ark. Service entrusted to Dillard Funeral Home, 210 North Trotter Street, Dermott, Ark.
