Mark D. Sheppard

Mark D. Sheppard, 55, of Reydell died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014. He was born January 27, 1959 in Little Rock, son of Jack and Alene Clark Sheppard. Mr. Sheppard was reared and received his early education in De Witt, graduating from De Witt High School. He attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He owned and operated Cross Bayou Farms near Reydell. Mark was a member of De Witt Church of Christ and Hazel Street Church of Christ. He also loved farming, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Elaine Warmack Sheppard, whom he married May 31, 1984 in Pine Bluff; two sons, John Sheppard (Jamie) of Bella Vista and Matthew Sheppard (Alicia) of Reydell; two brothers, Gregg Sheppard (Mary Kay) of De Witt and Jeff Sheppard of Reydell; sister, Jackie Sheppard of Little Rock; his grandchild, Lucas Sheppard and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son, with Mr. Joe Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Bayou Meto Cemetery.
