Preston L. Woods

Preston L. Woods, 80 of Camden, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born on August 9,1934 in Camden, Arkansas to Preston D. and Ludie Wreyford Woods. He was a 1952 graduate of Fairview High School and a Veteran of the United States Air Force, as well as, a graduate of Southern State College with a BBA in Accounting. He retired as Finance Director for the City of Camden in 1998. Preston married Mary Rodgers Woods on July 3,1962. He was a member of Cullendale Assembly of God Church and was a kind inspiration to all who knew him, loving to spend time in his yard and with his family. Preston was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Lula Anne Woods and his stepmother, Elsie Shaddock Woods. He is survived by his wife, his son, Glenn David Woods (Leann) of Lexington, Kentucky, grandchildren: Madison Woods of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Marley Woods of Lexington, Kentucky and Murphy Woods of Lexington, Kentucky and his half-brother, Harvey Woods (Gwen Osborne) of Texarkana, Arkansas. A graveside service and burial will be held Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 4 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Camden, Arkansas with Rev. Douglas G. Wright and Rev. Doug McClure officiating. Pallbearers will include Beau Beard, Bill Beard, Paul Beard, Thomas Carter, Donnie Castleberry, Jerry Cross and Roger Wright.
