Ruby Jones Wallace died, at the age of 96, on April 15, 2015. She was born in Springhill, Louisiana on December 8, 1918 to Jim and Lucy (Sanders) Jones. She was a graduate of McNeil High School, a longtime resident of Waldo, Arkansas and member of First Baptist Church (Waldo). She will be remembered for her generous spirit, unconditional love, hospitality, competitive nature, and her love of games (especially dominoes). She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Seth Wallace Sr., and her siblings, Mervin Jones, Ila Green, Irma McKinnis and Ozelle Dison. She is survived by her sister, Annie Modisette; her daughter, Mary Catherine (Eddie) Sligh; her son, Lewis (Portia) Wallace; her grandchildren: Kathryn (Mike) Matchett; Tracy (Jay) Van Dover; Bill (Carla) Wallace; Scott (Pam) Wallace; Joni (Greg) Spakes; Alicia (Dennis) Clement; Courtney (Jeff) Moss. She also survived by her 17 great-grandchildren: Jared, Hailey & Linzie Wallace; Luke & Seth Van Dover; Matthew & Russell Matchett; Emerson Wallace; Jordyn (Ashley) Horne; Tanner Spakes; Lindsey & Cassie Clement; Harrison & Anna Moss; Carter, Alexa & Makenzi Cook. Visitation with the family will be Friday, April 17, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Home with funeral service at 3 p.m. with Bro. David Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Stephens Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
