Mr. Jack Herman Webb, 87, of Sherwood, Ark., passed away to his eternal resting place on April 23, 2015. He was born in Faulkner County on April 12, 1928 to the late Floyd Wesley and Esther Grace Collar Webb. He was a blue-eyed hard working cattle rancher who lit up with a big smile at the sight of little ones. Mr. Webb was a hunter of arrowheads and other artifacts on his homestead and was a historian of the Faulkner Gap area who could tell vivid stories of days gone by. He was an avid reader and teacher of Chinese Checkers who was called upon for many years to witch wells. He was not a frivolous man but lived simply. Mr. Webb was a proud and honest man who earned the respect of all who knew him. Mr. Webb is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Harold Webb, Wendell Webb and Donald Webb, two sisters; Lois Baker and Patsy Bailey. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 65 years, Florence Marie Webb, three children; Patricia Shook (Merle) of Conway, Brenda Hartwick of Rison and Kerry Webb (Cindy) of North Little Rock, seven grandchildren; Dana Shook, Melynda Hardin, Brad Shook, Allison Kelley, Ashley Stocks, Matthew Webb and Clint Webb, four great-grandchildren; Dustyn Bundrick, Aislynn Stocks, Emma Kelley and Cecilia Webb, two step-great-grandchildren; Tyler Hardin and Aundrea Hardin, two sisters; Jean Rushin of Little Rock and Marilyn Crow (Lewis) of Vilonia, three brothers; Roy Lee Webb of Little Rock, Floyd W. Webb(Monteen) of Vilonia and Wayne Webb (Fern) of Sherwood. There will be a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
