Dorothy Elizabeth (Ferguson) Stone, 91, of Greenbrier, Arkansas passed away peacefully Monday April 27, 2015 surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born January 9, 1924 to the late Emmett and Jessie Mae Ferguson in Nashville, Arkansas. Dorothy and her husband James Clyde Stone Sr. moved to North Little Rock in 1949 where they raised five children. She loved cooking, sewing, quilting and gardening. Dorothy was a long term resident of Greenbrier Nursing Home, and has lived in Greenbrier since 1997. She was also a member of the Church of Christ in Greenbrier. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers, her husband and two sons: James C. Stone, Jr. (Jim) and Timothy Joe Stone. She is survived by two daughters; Anne Wise (Bob) of Searcy, Arkansas, Carol McDonough (Bob) of Sugarland, Texas, one son; Robert Stone (Renee) of Greenbrier, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday May 1st with visitation starting one hour before the service at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Pastor Glenn Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice Home care in Conway. www.rollerfuneralhomes.com.
