Lenora Sue Sullivan

Leonora Sue Sullivan, age 82, passed away at Circle of Life Hospice at Legacy Village, Bentonville, Ark. on July 31, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Loy Sullivan, and her parents, Ray Epperson and Anna Hendrickson Epperson. She was born Dec. 18, 1932 in Highfill, Ark., where she grew up to meet her husband Loy. Loy and Sue were married May 29, 1950 in Highfill. After a short stay in Oregon, Loy and Sue returned to Highfill and settled down to raise a family of two daughters and one son. Sue is a member of the First Baptist Church of Highfill where she played the piano and organ for years, and taught many Sunday School classes. She is a member of the Highfill Extension Homemakers Club. Sue is a retired teacher of kids with special needs and a retired member of The Board of Directors of Carroll Electric Cooperative. She served many years as treasurer of the Highfill Cemetery. Sue lived her last days as a homemaker, a caring mother and a loving grandmother. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Geneson of Ozark, Mo.; a son, Kenny Sullivan of Fayetteville, Ark.; a daughter, Mary Jech and husband Ron of Gentry, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Todd Colvin and wife Shelia of Siloam Springs, Ark., Shane Sullivan and fiancée Amber of Fayetteville, Ark., Jeremiah Jech and wife Krisa of Gentry, Ark., Ashley Sullivan of Fayetteville, Ark., Chauncey Geneson and wife Danielle of Ozark, Mo., Levi Jech and wife Michelle of Gentry, SSG E6 Drew Sullivan and wife Sheannene of Fort Hood, Texas, Caleb Jech of Highfill, Ark. and Jessica Jech Knight and husband Derek of Gentry, Ark. Sue has nine great-grandchildren. Sue is also survived by a sister, Mary Holland and husband Bruce of Highfill, Ark.; a sister, Kathleen Hulet and husband Gene of Bentonville, Ark., and a brother Junior Epperson of Murfeesboro, Ark. Sue leaves behind a host of family and friends who honor and respect her and whom she has made a tremendous influence in their lives. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 3, 2015 at First Baptist Church, Highfill, Arkansas with Pastor Roger Robin officiating. Burial will follow at Highfill Cemetery.
