Betty Ann Benson Snow

Ann Snow – July 21, 2015. Born Betty Ann Benson on October 20, 1938 in a small town outside of Walnut Ridge, Ark., she was the second of six children born to George W. Benson Jr. and Frances Ramona Edmondson Benson. Ann graduated from Walnut Ridge High School in 1956. She married young and had four daughters in as many years. In 1964 Ann moved with her family to Honolulu where she raised her girls and was an active Girl Scout leader, avid card player, wonderful cook and mother to many. She moved to Springdale, Ark. in the 1980's where she worked at Tyson Foods for 29 years. In 2013 Ann finally retired and joined her oldest daughter in Omaha, Neb. where she passed away peacefully. She is predeceased by her parents; her brothers, Ed and Butch; two of her sisters, Mary Jo Clement and Georgia Johnson. She is survived by all four of her daughters, Jerri England (Mark) of Omaha, NE, Debi Shaghaghi (Tohid) of Sacramento, Calif., Lisa Naumann (Michael) of Stamford, Conn. and Jo Speitel of Springdale Ark.; her sister, Sue Wallis of Homer, Alaska; eight loving grandchildren, Alex Stroda, Christy Grove, Jessica Jorgensen, Sean and Parissa Shaghaghi, Christopher and Rachel Naumann and Mona Speitel. And, as of June 2015, she was able to boast that she had eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of her life will be held on August 8, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 214 Sw 2nd Street, Walnut Ridge, Ark. Attire is casual. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann's memory to Theatre Development Fund's Autism Theatre Initiative (ATI), 520 Eighth Avenue, Suite 801, New York, N.Y. 10018-6507 or on their website www.tdf.org. The family will receive well-wishers after the service.
