Linda Kay Golden, age 65, of Aplin, Arkansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 2, 2015. She was born February 24, 1950 in Little Rock, Arkansas, a daughter of Charles Woody Jones and Maxine "Meme" Jones. She was the widow of Gary Golden, a member of the Aplin Church of Christ, and an Editor for Democrat Printing and Lithograph. She is survived by her daughter, Shana Purchase of Little Rock; stepson, Kevin Golden of Sherwood; stepdaughter, Hannah Golden of Sherwood; brother, Dr. Charles "Woody" Jones or Russellville; mother-in-law, Carlene Golden of Little Rock; Aunt, Joann Taylor of Aplin; uncle, E.L. Clayton of Missouri; and numerous cousins. Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her cousins, Larry Taylor, Mary Scogins, and Wallace Edwards. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 5th at the Aplin Church of Christ with Mr. Neal Chism and Bro. Charles Smith officiating. Private burial will be at a later date.
