Mary Louise Simon

Mary Louise Simon, 94, passed away August 5, 2015, at her home in Conway. She was born in Conway on October 2, 1920, to the late Michael M. and Mary Louise (Thessing) Hiegel. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Fredric P. Simon; and four brothers Ted, John, Henry, and Mike Hiegel; and one sister Angela Simon. Mary Louise was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was active in Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Christian Ladies, Faulkner County Republican Women, and Life Choices. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and playing bridge with her friends. Mary Louise is survived by four sons, Mike ( Mary Jo), Eugene (Christy), Steve (Charlotte), and Mark Simon; two daughters, Theresa Simon and Margaret (Mike) Grimes; and sixteen grandchildren, Frederic, Timothy, Greg, Matt, Jason, Jeremy, Nick, Casey, Chad, and Adam Simon, Kendall Young, Jessica Dulac, Elizabeth and Christina Grillo, David and Kenny Grimes, and one step granddaughter Crystal Pennington. She is also survived by, thirty great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. The family of Mrs. Simon is very grateful to Arkansas Hospice and to all of the ladies of Sheila's Home Care who lovingly attended her during the last few years of her life. Rosary will be Friday, August 7 at 6 p.m., visitation to follow from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Church in Conway at 11 am, followed by interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
