Philip Arthur Brewer

Philip Arthur Brewer, 84, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015. He was born on August 25, 1930 in Cave City, Arkansas to the late Arthur W. and Virginia Brewer. Philip was a longtime and very active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Little Rock, where he also served as a deacon. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving his country during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Glenda Brewer; two sons, Scott Brewer (Amy) of North Little Rock, and David Brewer (Nancy) of Greenbrier; two grandchildren, Blake Brewer and Becky Wilson; and one great-grandchild, Lyla Wilson. He will also be missed by James, Sara, and Bekah Broglen, who were like grandchildren. Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Oaklawn Cemetery in Batesville, Arkansas. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Ark. (224-8300).
