Mary Caroline Smith

Mary "Caroline" Smith, age 87, of North Little Rock, passed away Sunday morning August 9, 2015 with her loving family by her side. She was born May 14, 1928 in Tulsa, OK to the late Mary Frances Burns Gordon and James Loyd Gordon. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Gayle Smith and a grandson, Todd Stover. Caroline worked at the canteen at the Little Rock VA for 32 years, where she was known as "the butterfly lady." She was a member of Life Line Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Brickey (Jerry), Susan Terry (Dale), and Becky Harrington; grandchildren, Robin Stover (Joey), Sean Terry, and Jeff Harrington (Lanhee) and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Ruebel Funeral Home, 6313 W. Markham St., Little Rock on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 5 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 2 p.m. followed by burial at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens, Heber Springs at 4 p.m. Arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com
