Michael Scott Hix

Michael "Scott" Hix, age 46 of Searcy, died Friday, August 7, 2015 at home. He was born July 30, 1969 in Pine Bluff to Harold Dean Hix and Sherley Mae Taylor Hix. He is survived by his wife, Kellye Hix of the home; four sons, William Hix and wife Cortney of Beebe, Christopher Hix of Searcy, GyWon Choi of Memphis, Sang Won Choi of Albany, New York; one expected grandson, Griffin Michael Hix of Beebe; mother and step-father, Sherley and Charles Petty of Sheridan; two brothers, Gary Don Hix and wife Renee' of Sheridan, Leslie Tannahill and wife Kay of Sheridan; two step-brothers, Charles Eric Petty and wife Niki of Sheridan, Nathan Earl Petty and wife Tabitha of Fordyce; mother-and-father-in-law, Rufus and Mary Graves of Conway; two brothers-in-law, Scott Graves of Conway, Alen Graves of Mayflower; one nephew, Johnathan Graves of Conway; four nieces, Lacey Hall and husband Nathan of Sheridan, Lauren Tannahill of Sheridan, Lindsey Tannahill of Sheridan, Sara Tannahill of Sheridan; and a host of adopted family and friends that will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his father, Harold Hix; and his grandparents, Sherill and Lala Taylor, and William and Thelma Hix. Visitation was Monday at 9:00 am at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services following at 10 a.m. Graveside services were Monday at 3 p.m. at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan.
