Bob Roberts

Bob W. or "Cotton" Roberts of Pine Bluff passed away Monday, August 17th, 2015, 4 months after being diagnosed with mesothelioma. Born April 26, 1931 in Crossett, he was the son of Ocie Roberts and Lillie Brantley Roberts and a 1949 graduate of Crossett High School. Bob was a Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Delk and Associates of West Helena, Ark. in 1994, and holds a 50 year Gold Card in the International Union of Bricklayers. Bob was a deacon at First Baptist Church, a Master Gardener, a member of the Arkansas Razorback's Road Hogs, and a past member of the Star Steppers, Rock N Rebs, and Shirts and Skirts Square Dancing clubs. Mr. Roberts is survived by KarLynn Payton Roberts, his wife of 58 years; daughter Bobette Kelly (Mike) of Dallas; sister, Linda Land (Larry) of Crossett; sister-in-law, Patsy Roberts of Crossett; two grandsons: Andrew Ray (Megan) of Columbia, Missouri, Matthew Ray (Madeline) of Anchorage, Alaska, and one granddaughter, Hannah Ray of Anchorage Alaska; and his little buddy Bailey. Visitation: Thursday, 5-7 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel, 1621 Cherry Street, Pine Bluff, Ark. Funeral Service: Friday, 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Pine Bluff, 6501 South Hazel Street. The Roberts family will also receive guests one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
