George B. Kimbrell, age 82 of Little Rock, went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2015. He was born March 2, 1933 to George Kimbrell and Virginia Kimbrell Robinson of Parkdale, Arkansas. George retired from Russell Chevrolet after 41 years of service and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Little Rock. George served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He was a friend to all who knew him and never met a stranger. He loved the outdoors, was a hard worker, and was one to never complain about life's challenges. He always appreciated what he had and most of all was devoted to his family. He was a caring husband of 58 years to Carolyn Sadler Kimbrell of Portland, Arkansas. George left behind two loving children; daughter Kim Hockersmith and her husband Steve of Little Rock, Arkansas and son Brian Kimbrell and his wife Wendi of Frisco, Texas. The later years of his life were devoted to the joy of participating in the lives and activities of his four grandchildren, Ashlan and Lance Hockersmith and Conner and Carson Kimbrell. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 27th at Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, North Little Rock with Reverend Jerry Sadler officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow onsite at Rest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
