Wyona Virginia Ainley of Paragould, passed from this life on Wednesday. She was 82 years old. She was born on July 27, 1933, in her grandmother's home in the Success community. She graduated Corning High School and Arkansas State Teacher's College in Conway in 1954 with a BSE in Home Economics. She was a teacher, storyteller, businesswoman, pilot, homemaker, mother, and wife. She loved to travel. She was a unit director for Beauticontrol Cosmetics. She was involved in her church and community activities including chairwoman for the United Way and founding member of the Literacy Council in Greene and Craighead Counties. She was County Chairwoman for the Republican Party. She was a friend, supporter and instrumental in the Mike Huckabee campaigns. She was a founding member of Grace Baptist Church and helped with the interior design. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles F. Ainley, and her parents, Herbert and Norean Hartwig of Success. She is survived by her brothers, Larry Hartwig of Success and Norman Hartwig of Corning. She is also survived by her children, Carol Bjorn of Soquel, Calif., Lauren Heffelman of Pleasantview, Tenn., Neal Ainley and Dr. Alan Ainley of Paragould; and several grandchildren, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 p.m. at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald James officiating.
