Norma Heard

Norma Dean Heard of Bryant went to be with her Lord on November 27, 2015; she was born in North Little Rock on June 25, 1936 to parents Vernon and Louise Heard. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Betty Sue Saunders. She is survived by her brother-in-law, John Saunders of Bryant, niece, Rhonda Sanders (Rick) of Bryant and nephew, Ralph Saunders (Kathryn) of Vass, North Carolina as well as a grandniece, Samantha Vanderpool (Sheldon) of Fayetteville, Arkansas and grandnephew, Seth Sanders of Bryant. Norma was a quiet and generous caregiver and was known as "Nonnie" to everyone she met. She dearly loved the children and members of Antioch Baptist Church, where she was a lifelong member. She worked for 40 years at DYKE Industries in Little Rock and for 18 years as the caregiver of her grand niece and nephew. Words are inadequate to capture the things she did daily to make life better for those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 9 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock.
