Larry Motley Sr.

Larry Motley Sr., 83, of Conway, went to be with the Lord Friday, Dec. 4, 2015. He was born June 27, 1932 in Pottsville, Ark. to John E. "Pat" and Lilah Faye Motley. Larry was a lifelong fan of baseball. He enjoyed playing and watching it with his family and navy buddies. Larry loved to travel. He had a motorhome and traveled to all the lower 48 states. Larry was in the Navy for four years and served in the Korean War on the USS Henrico. Larry is survived by son, Larry Motley Jr. of Conway; three daughters, Peggy Crowell (Randy) of Conway, Betsy Hatchett (Darrell) of Conway, Teresa Linden (David) of Damascus; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister Joyce Miller. He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Helen Savanah Motley, son Don Moore, and his parents. Pallbearers will be grandsons Steve Moore, Mark Moore, Britt Freyaldenhoven, Brian Freyaldenhoven, Jake Linden, Josh Linden, Jace Motley and Calvin Motley. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 8, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Conway with visitation an hour prior to service in the Chapel.
