Olen E. Domon, 72, of White Hall, left this life on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015. He was born July 7, 1943 in Pine Bluff, Ark., to Henry W. and Essie Hudson Domon. Olen resided in Pine Bluff or White Hall the entirety of his lifetime. He graduated from Dollarway High School in 1961. He worked at the Pine Bluff Arsenal and National Center for Toxicological Research for a combined 42+ years. He earned his retirement in 2006. Olen loved coaching and being involved with youth sports. He coached pee wee football, basketball, and little league baseball for many years. Coach Domon inspired and changed the lives of many young men, including his son, Steve, through his guidance and example of dedication. He was recognized for his unselfish commitment and loyalty to supporting and promoting participation in youth sports by being presented with an award from the White Hall Chamber of Commerce. He continued his love of sports for the last several years through his grandson, Chase, and his countless teammates. "Papa" Olen's tireless dedication and efforts to attend every event once again made a lasting impression on everyone involved. His presence will be missed by every player, parent, grandparent, and friend. Olen was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Ann Morgan Domon; his parents; twin sons, Brad and Brian Domon; six brothers, Harry, Joe, Albert and Alva Domon and Adolph and Willis Tucker; and two sisters, Bonnie Tatum and Henrietta Rhoden. He will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind, including his son, Dr. Steven Domon and his wife, Rebecca Schneider Domon, of Little Rock; daughter, Stephanie Anne Domon of Omaha, Neb.; sister, Laverne Reed of White Hall; special companion, Suzanne Morris, of Little Rock; his three grandchildren, Chase Domon, Malcolm and Tarron Domon; two great-grandchildren, Felicity Domon (Malcolm) and Alexander Walker (Tarron); his mother-in-law, Mildred Morgan of Pine Bluff; two sisters-in-law, Bernita Morgan of College Station, Texas and Martha Morgan of Omaha, Neb.; brother-in-law, Roy Morgan of Keller, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Ralph Robinson & Son in Pine Bluff, Ark. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015 at 1:30 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with the Reverend Paul Williams officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in Memorial Park Cemetery.
