Lowell Powell

Lowell Saunders Powell, 80, of North Little Rock went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. He was born June 13, 1935 in Fincastle, Virginia to Roy and Mary Bryant Powell. He was a Deacon at Central Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Joan Spigle Powell; children, Sherry (Mac) Wylie of Tulip, Arkansas, Vince (Karen) Powell, of North Little Rock, Gail (Kyle) Hayden of Fayetteville and Heather Powell of North Little Rock; sister, LouNell Powell of Fincastle, Virginia; grandchildren, Jordan (Robin) Powell, Tyler Powell, Madeline (Jon) Haydon, Melanie and McKenzie Hayden; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Ryder; Everett who is due in March; and his niece, Penny Campbell. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cynthia Gay and his sister, Violet Gray. Memorials may be made to Gideon International, P.O. Box 1022, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72115. A visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., at Central Baptist Church in North Little Rock. Burial will follow at Rest Hills.
