Roberta M Anderson

Roberta "Bertie" Marguerite Anderson, 97, of Clinton, Ark. passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015. She was born Jan. 22, 1918 in New Sharon, Iowa to Forrest and Elizabeth (Hughes) Wood. She graduated from Newton High School in Newton, Iowa in 1936 and was married to Howard in 1943. They moved to Clinton in 1980. At the age of 65, she was putting up sheathing on their home, at Greer's Ferry Lake. She was an accomplished artist and was involved in the community. She and Howard traveled all over the United States in their motor home for many years and was loved by everyone that they met. She loved to square dance and she and Howard traveled all over Arkansas to numerous dances. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Linda Mulbrook, in 2013. Bertie is together again with all the ones that passed on before her. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Howard Wayne Anderson of the home, a son, Tommy Wayne (Sharon) Anderson of Dennard, Ark.; son-in-law, Michael Mulbrook of Clinton, Ark.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many friends. Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2015 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Ark. with Pastor George Odell officiating.
