BRENDA PORTER, 57, of Little Rock was born June 2, 1957 in Crossett, Ark. and departed this life on Jan. 24, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Christine Brown and her only son, Ron Everhart Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories her only daughter, Yolanda Young and her grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Brenda spent most of her years on earth loving and caring for others. She was the founder of Survivors of Murdered Children in Little Rock, Ark. and helped over 100,000 at risk children. She was a 20-year breast cancer survivor fighting strongly with a smile. She was hard working with dedication and no regrets or complaints. She was a great designer, writer and a blessing. A quote from her own words, "I will not miss anything. I am relived from this life. It only brings me lots of joy. No more pain or suffering for me. I had the love that Jesus had for children. I embraced them and kept them safe." Brenda will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
