Emarene Patterson

EMARENE PATTERSON went to be with the Lord Feb. 3, 2015. She was born in Cave City, Ark. on Nov. 7, 1922. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Patterson and her parents, Theodore and Louise Smith. She also had three sisters and three brothers and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by one son, Phil Patterson and wife, Brenda; granddaughter, Jennifer Sippell and great-grandson, Trent Sippell. She was a member of Baring Cross Baptist Church for 45 years and taught kindergarten for many of those years. She taught several hundred children to swim. She joined Levy Baptist Church and enjoyed how friendly everyone was to her. She also worked as a tour guide and for Pleasant Hill Retirement. She was blessed with good health into her 90s. She loved her family and friends very much and God most of all. Visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 9, 2015 at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home.
