Donald Lee Norman

Donald Lee Norman, 54, of Damascus, Ark. entered Heaven on Feb. 6, 2015. He was born on Nov. 20, 1960 in Beebe, Ark. to the late Boyd Eugene Norman and Linda Lee Bernal-Mitchum. Don had three siblings, Boyd Norman Jr., Jeannie Norman and half-brother, Dean Emmerling. He graduated from North Little Rock Ole Main High School in 1980. Don obtained an associate degree in hydraulic calculations and worked in the commercial sprinkler industry. In his 40s, he attended barber and cosmetology school, obtaining a license to cut hair. Don's served in the United States Army as an infantry soldier. He was a member of the 1st 41st Infantry, 2nd Armored Division, Bradley Cohort Unit, which was the first unit to use the Bradley tank. He is survived by his wife, Bobbie (Robin) Harrison-Norman of Damascus; three children, Brandon Chad Norman of Cabot, Donald Lee (Donnie) Norman Jr. of Batesville and Chelsea LeeAnn Norman-Thompson of Greenbrier; two stepsons, Elliott Carr of Little Rock and Brandon Carr of Greenbrier; seven grandchildren, Landon & Briana Norman, Areana & Cadence Thompson and Preston, Garrett & Alli Carr. Don is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Marshall Lee Mitchum, Thomas Norman and Hazel Manion-Norman. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Roller McNutt Funeral home in Greenbrier, Ark., with burial to follow at Apple Hill Cemetery in Ward, Ark.
