John H. Rogers

Mr. Rogers was a member of Foothills Baptist Church in Mountain View, Ark. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Gould where he served as Deacon, Music Director, Sunday School Teacher, and Building Committee Chairman. Mr. Rogers was a retired farmer and retired Ag-Pilot (Owner-Operator Rogers Flying Service). He was former member of National Agricultural Aviation Assn., Arkansas Agricultural Aviation Assn., and First State Bank of Gould board, Dumas State Bank Board, Simmons South Arkansas Bank Board, Dumas Riceland Board and Lincoln County Farm Bureau Board. Survivors are his wife, Marion Joyce Rogers of Mountain View; daughter, Rebecca Lynn Iverson (Dean); son, John Michael Rogers (JoAnn); and daughter, Leanne Prince( Forrest); four sisters, Frances Grandgeorge, Melba Woodard, Barbara Hamilton, and Angela Dunn; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Visitation held on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at the Griffin Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will also be held prior to services from 12 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Gould. Funeral services held Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Gould with Rev. Dubs Byers and John Rogers officiating and burial following in Walnut Lake Cemetery.
