Jimmie Carol Woodfield

Jimmie Carol (J.C.) Woodfield, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 4, 2015 at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas, following a prolonged illness. She was 83 years old. She was born to James Buckner Hardister and Eunice Bridges Hardister on April 21, 1931, in Reydel, Arkansas. Visitation will be held Friday January 9, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Holt Memorial Chapel located at 1904 Capps Road, Harrison, Arkansas. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Holt Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery. She graduated from Pine Bluff High School in Pine Bluff in 1949. On November 17, 1950 she married Vinson Lavern (P.Nut) Woodfield. J.C. worked hard all of her life. She and P. Nut owned Woodfield Plumbing in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, along with many other ventures before and after moving to Harrison. Upon P.Nut's death on August 31, 1974, J.C. became a realtor. She was an excellent cook and talented seamstress. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Harrison, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, P.Nut, a daughter, Gina Woodfield, a son, Scott Woodfield, and two brothers, Graydon Hardister and Rex Hardister. Survivors include one son, Rex Alan Woodfield (Tammy) of Harrison, Arkansas; one daughter, Dr. Shannon Wipf (Chuck) of Rogers, Arkansas; one sister Kay Bailey (Jim) of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren: James Young, Justin Young, Jessika Anderson, Jodi Madera-Prado, Harrison Woodfield, Rosalyn Wipf and Rebecca Wipf; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
