Glenda Colvert Flynn

Glenda Gail Colvert Flynn of Hot Springs, Arkansas, was born January 23, 1944 at Camden, the daughter of the late Howard Colvert Sr. and Evie Rea Sullivent Colvert. Mrs. Flynn was a graduate of Harmony Grove High School at Camden, where she played on the girls basketball team. She was in the restaurant business in Hot Springs for many years, where she encountered many people, and she loved to tell stories and listen to theirs. She loved her family very deeply and will be fondly remembered. Mrs. Flynn died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Lakewood Convalescent Home in Hot Springs, at the age of 70. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Flynn; son, Johnny Flynn; brothers, Howard Colvert, Jr. and Gary Colvert; sisters, Helen Colvert, Louise Redding, Joyce Lunday, and Carolyn Brazil; niece, Tonya Colvert. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Victoria Spears, Shane Colvert, Shawn Colvert, Michael Lunday, Wade Lunday, Angela Harris, Veronica Bourgoin, David Brazil, Randy Brazil; sister-in-law, Francis Colvert; numerous other grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan, with her nephew, Wade Lunday, officiating. Committal services will be at 2 p.m. at Bethel Cemetery near Bearden. Visitation will also be Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until service time.
