Lucille Ellen Liles, age 97 of Redfield, passed away January 13, 2015. She was born on May 17, 1917 in McRae, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her husband H.F. Liles, children Jimmy Liles and Daphne Edwards; brothers Jerrell Holloway and James Holloway; sisters Hilton Petifer, Virginia Siebel and Norma Moore. Lucille was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved the Lord, her family and her church family at Redfield Missionary Baptist Church where she attended faithfully for over 45 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, taught Sunday School, and when she was in her early 80's delivered boxes of fruit, cookies and candy to the "elderly" in Redfield. She had a bountiful garden each year and canned and froze the harvest. She loved to fish and would regularly catch more than anyone. She also made quilts and quilted them by hand. She sewed many of her daughter's clothing when they were young. She was a fabulous cook and made sure she had a big meal on Sundays so any of her family that visited would not go hungry. She played piano by ear, and only recently stopped playing because she could no longer hear the sounds. Her family called her the "Domino Queen" because she could hold her own and even beat most with her domino skills. During the past few years, she only ate cookies and was dubbed "The Cookie Monster" by her children and grandchildren. When saying goodnight she would say, "I'll see you in the morning unless the Lord comes back, then I'll see you in Heaven". She will be missed by her son, Jerry and wife Ellen of Sheridan; daughter, Donna and husband Ray of Mabelvale; sister, Marie Daniels; brother A.D. "Buster" Holloway both of Bryant; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, three nephews, one niece and special friend and neighbor Sally Dollar of Redfield. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Huson Funeral Home Chapel in Little Rock with a visitation prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11: a.m. Graveside Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday at Welcome Home Cemetery in Des Arc.
