Una Mae Orlopp

Una Mae Molaison Koscher Orlopp, 90, of Rogers, passed away on January 7, 2015. She was born on February 25, 1924 in Houma, La., to Onezippe Molaison and Bernadette Matherne Molaison. Una's parents passed away when she was three years old and she was adopted by Clay and Pauline Koscher of Des Allemands, La. Una Married Howard Alexis Orlopp, the love of ther life, on December 19, 1943. They were lovingly devoted to each other throughout their 67 years of marriage until Howard passed away in 2010. Una was an entrepreneur and operated a beauty salon out of her home. She also worked for the United States Postal Office in Louisiana and for the Veterans Hospital in Jackson, Miss. Una loved dachshunds and had four dachshunds throughout her life who were loyal companions: Cricket, Schultz, Crout, and Fritz all brought her immense joy. Una was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, her biological parents, and her adoptive parents. Una is survived by her daughter, Cindy J. Wilkinson of Austin, Tx.; sons, Keith A. Orlopp and wife Betty of Austin, Craig C. Orlopp and wife Sharon of Rogers; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; lifelong friend Ethel Ploger; and many nieces and nephews.
